MetaMind Innovations (MINDS) participated in the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), held in Thessaloniki from 5 to 13 September 2026, as part of the Elevate Greece presence at the Pavilion of the Ministry of Development / General Secretariat for Research and Innovation.
The event provided an opportunity for MINDS to present its activities and technologies, connect with visitors and organisations, and discuss its work across areas including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, IoT and Virtual Reality.
A key part of MINDS’ presence was an interactive Virtual Reality demonstration developed within the EVOSST project, giving visitors the opportunity to experience first-hand how immersive technologies can support technical training and workforce reskilling.
The VR environment focuses on the training of photovoltaic panel installation technicians. Through the application, users can familiarise themselves with installation tools and components, follow assembly procedures and practise task sequences in a safe and controlled virtual environment before moving to real-world installations.
Developed by MetaMind Innovations in collaboration with the University of Western Macedonia and the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia, the application explores how Virtual Reality can support skills development and reskilling for the green transition.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors had the opportunity to try the VR application at the MINDS stand and engage directly with the team. These interactions provided a valuable opportunity to demonstrate the technology in practice and discuss the potential of immersive training tools for education, professional training and green skills development.
Beyond the VR demonstration, MINDS’ participation at the 90th TIF provided an opportunity to introduce visitors to the company’s broader activities, exchange ideas with members of the Greek innovation and startup ecosystem, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
