Location: MetaMind Innovations P.C., Kozani or Thessaloniki, Greece

Employment: Fix-term; full time (40 hours)

MetaMind Innovations P.C. is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who will apply AI and machine learning techniques to big-data problems for applications related to timeseries, predictive analytics, classification and NLP. Partnering with project partners, the candidate will be building various AI models and products that address challenging problems related to Industry 5.0, healthcare and immersive environments.

By using deep learning methods, predictive models, experimental design methods, and optimization techniques, the candidate will be working on the research and development of exciting and new projects like time series analysis, regressions and NLP.

Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background as well as technical skills including applied machine learning, statistics, data mining, and software development. Familiarity with working with large-scale datasets and big data techniques would be a plus.

Basic Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relative fields
– Python programming
– Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) libraries, such as Scikit Learn, Tensorflow/Keras and/or PyTorch
– Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, or data mining concepts, and a track record of solving problems with these methods.
– Adequate understanding of statistics, multivariable calculus and linear algebra
– Experience with data pre-processing and analysis libraries, such as Numpy and Pandas
– Experience with data visualization tools like Matplotlib and Seaborn
– Familiar with one or more machine learning or statistical modelling tools such as R, Matlab
– Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

– MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or equivalent experience
– Experience with Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Research and Development (R&D) projects
– Experience with very large datasets, high availability systems, SQL and NoSQL
– Experience with big data analytics technologies, such as Apache Spark and Elastic Stack
– Experience with Reinforcement Learning (RL) techniques
– Knowledge in containerized application development
– Experience with DevOps and CI/CD best practices.

Responsibilities

– Develop predictive models on large-scale and/or federated datasets to address various problems with advanced machine learning, and analytics techniques.
– Develop and implement scalable and efficient modelling algorithms that can work with large-scale data in production systems
– Collecting, processing and interpreting data
– Statistical modelling and data analytics
– Identifying solutions to overcome data analytics challenges
– Collaborate with product management and engineering groups to develop new products and features.
– Editing, authoring and delivery of technical reports and deliverables
– Communication with other engineers and researchers
– Participation in technical meetings, representing MINDS
